My 2010 Message of Hope and Intent

QUESTION...

If indeed we only have one life to live and, if indeed we don't know how long we have, isn't it a rather risky proposition not to live with intent?

I am not suggesting that having a certain flexibility and randomness in life is a bad thing. Much and most of life is unexpected and we need to keep that "gypsy" in us alive.

Still, and almost paradoxically, I am realizing that real flexibility and spontaneity is enhanced with some structure. The human body's own flexibility is strengthened by its skeletal make-up. So maybe, just maybe, having some intent and living with and on purpose can make our lives even more magical.. the real kind of magic that brings core joy and has others saying that we are living some charmed life. There are no charmed lives. Actually , we all have charmed lives. It lives in our potential and our perspective. The Oprahs and Bonos and JK Rowlings of this world were not born into something the world would see as charmed. But, look at what they did with what they had.

We all have our stories. They create a tapestry from which we can build lives of intent and excitement and love and adventure and service. Still, the more I observe truly, deeply, happy people, the more I see purpose.

So, riding on my blog of two days ago, I offer this short list of my 10 for '10. These are mine; what are yours?

Enjoy the EVE, but truly enjoy the ACHIEVE.

Peace, friends.

Barry
